<p>A douche apparatus for attachment between a shower head (22) and its water supply pipe (20). The apparatus has a manual valve (23) for diverting water from the shower head (22) to a lateral passage (28) leading to the mixing head (34) of a container assembly (32) holding a liquid douche medicament. The mixing head (34) has a venturi passageway (46) into which the douche medicament is drawn up through a siphon tube (38) by the flow of water through the venturi passageway. An adjustable flow control device (52) controls the rate at which the medicament is drawn into the mixing head. A rotatably adjustable fitting (31) attaches the mixing head (34) to the valve (22) so that the siphon tube (38) in the container assembly can be positioned vertical. A douche applicator (57) receives the mixture of water and medicament from the mixing head (34).</p> |
