THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDER

PURPOSE:To minimize the shift of paper subjected to transfer recording to prevent a color shift by transferring the following color when returning the paper to a recording start position after transferring a certain color. CONSTITUTION:A marking function and a mark detection function (sensor 9) are added to color transfer paper 10. a mark 50 is put to the paper 10 before transfer-recording the first color, and the first color transfer recording is performed based on a point of time when the mark is detected. The transfer- recording of odd-number following the first color transfer recording is performed based on a point of time when the mark 50 is detected. If the first color transfer recording is terminated, a different mark from the mark 50 put before the first color transfer recording is printed and the paper 10 is shifted in an opposite direction to the first color transfer printing. Then the second color transfer recording is performed based on a point of time when the mark is detected. The transfer recording of even number following the the second color transfer recording is performed at a point of time when the mark is detected. thus it is possible to prevent the generation of color shift by performing the recording even when the paper 10 is returned.
