PURPOSE:To obtain a superior electrophotographic sensitive body having high sensitivity by laminating a charge generating layer contg. cyanine dye having a specified oxidation potentials and a charge transferring layer contg. a charge transferring material having a specified oxidation potential or below and by incorporating a charge transferring material having a higher oxidation potential than the charge transferring material in the charge transferring layer into the charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer contg. cyanine dye having 0.35-0.50V oxidation potential is formed on an electrically conductive support, and a charge transferring layer contg. a charge transferring material (CT-2) having <=0.60V oxidation potential is formed on the charge generating layer to obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body. At this time, a charge transferring material (CT-1) having a higher oxidation potential than the charge transferring material (CT-2) in the charge transferring layer is incorporated into the charge generating layer. An electrophotographic sensitive body having high sensitivity and a low residual potential is obtd. |
