Design of a cyclone with a baffle device in the separating zone such that the negative influence of secondary flows on the separation (removal) of particles is prevented. For this purpose, it is proposed to design the longitudinal edges of the baffle device such that they are neither entirely a generating line nor extend entirely in parallel in the developed view of the baffle device. In addition, it is proposed: that the inflow be designed as a spiral of more than 180@ or as an axial grille, that the baffle device have no direct connection to the cover of the cyclone, that the cyclone be of symmetrical design, that an axial cyclone have direct connection to the baffle device and that there be partial current extraction without and with feedback of gas into the inlet.
