A structural element for the side wall of a steam sauna comprises a non-translucent, rectangular acrylic-plastic panel which forms the inner lining of the sauna. The acrylic-plastic panel 1 is reinforced by side panels 7, 8 which consist of rigid foamed plastic and are adhesively bonded in, such that they point towards the rear, along the two side edges. Transverse strips 16, 17 are also provided for reinforcement. <IMAGE>
