PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity characteristics by incorporating a carrier generating material of a specified bisazo compound and a carrier transfer material of a specified styrylnaphthalene compound in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains the carrier generating material comprising at least one of the bisazo compounds represented by formula I and the carrier transfer material comprising at least one of the styrylnaphthalene compounds represented by formula II, and in these formulae, each of X1 and X2 is halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, cyano, hydroxy, or amino; each of (p) and (q) is 0, 1, or 2; A is a group represented by formula III; R<1> is H, alkyl, alkoxy, or halogen; each of R<2> and R<3> is alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl; and R<4> is H or phenyl, thus permitting image forming characteristics to be stabilized. |
