The nappy of the present invention consists of an outer body portion (1) adapted to fit around the body of a baby and provided with a fastening means (8) whereby the outer body portion (1) can be fastened in place around the body of the baby, and an inner flap portion (2) which is secured to the outer body portion (1) and which forms a region of increased absorbancy within the nappy.
