PURPOSE:To vary the display of the 'ready for winning' state of a variable display device for game machine. CONSTITUTION:A variable display device 20 has laterally connected variable display parts 20a-20d of four lines on a display surface. Seventeen kinds of pattern elements of the same content can be displayed on each variable display part. The variable display parts 20a-20d display three pattern elements on the display surface in the static state. The variable display device 20 starts the scroll display of each variable display part 20a-20d under a prescribed condition. When three specified patterns '7' are horizontally or obliquely arranged in each variable display part 20a-20d when the scroll is successively stopped, a big hit state is shown. When the first variable display part 20a and the second variable display part 20b are of the same number to form the reach state before big hit, a new reach state can be set when the pattern elements of the second variable display part 20b and the third variable display part 20c are equal although no big hit state is formed by the display of the third variable display part 20c. |
