Resilient mounting for ship's propeller shaft - incorporates of housing filled with synthetic resin
摘要
The propeller shaft (3) of a ship is supported in a bearing (2) at the outer end of a supporting arm (1). The other end of this arm is supported in the structure (5) of the ship in a resilient mounting which consists of a tubular housing with an ID which is larger than the dia. of the arm (1). The space between the arm (1) and the inner wall of the housing is filled with a synthetic resin. The melted resin is poured into the housing (4) and then allowed to harden so that the shaft (1) is held firmly inside the housing (4). USE - Resilient mounting of a ship's propeller shaft.
