摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the output without impairing the performance in the range near the max. output by connecting No.1, No.2 exhaust gas passage in communication with two exhaust turbo superchargers through communication pipes, and changing over the flow of exhaust gas in accordance with the speed range in service by the use of No.1-No.3 selector valves. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gases from exhaust manifolds 11a, 11b are fed to a turbine 17 while separated in the low speed range by a bulkhead 13a and No.1 selector valve 51. In the medium speed range, they are fed to turbines 16, 17 while separated by another bulkhead 12a, No.2 selector valve 52, and No.3 selector valve 53. In the high speed range, they are fed to the turbine 16 while separated by No.3 selector valve 53. Thereby the pulses on the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifolds 11a, 11b are free from mutual intervention, and the supercharger effect of exhaust turbo superchargers 14, 15 is enhanced by this high pulsation.
