PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide piezoelectric material for an ultrasonic probe for medical use having high electromechanical coupling factor k33', small thickness-dependency of the electromechanical coupling factor k33' and high mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:This piezoelectric material having an electromechanical coupling factor k33' of >=69% at 2MHz is produced by partly substituting 2-17mol% of Pb of a principal component composed of xPb(Sb1/2Nb1/2)O3-yPbTiO3-zPbZrO3 ((x) is 1-3mol%, (y) is 38-47mol%, (z) is 50-61mol% and x+y+z is 100mol%) with Sr. |
