PURPOSE:To provide a printer capable of ensuring the safety of a user from a viewpoint of use by preventing the direct contact of an operator with a motor holder by covering the motor holder rising in temp. by the heat generated in a motor. CONSTITUTION:When the driving of a carriage motor 23 is continued, heat is generated in the carriage motor 23 to be conducted to the motor holder 22 made of metal supporting the carriage motor and the motor holder 22 is heated to become high temp. Since the holder side part 22b of the motor holder 22 thus heated to high temp. protrudes from the holder support part of a resin frame but is covered with the cover member 21b integrally provided to the frame 21, the direct contact of an operator with the motor holder can be prevented. |
