PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording sheet with improved coloring sensitivity and heat resistance which is free from texture contamination after image preservability test by adding a specific ether compound to a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording sheet consists of a recording layer having basically an acid material which develops the color of colorless or somewhat pale electron-donative colorless dye and electron donative colorless dye when heated and a binder, provided on a support. The recording layer of the recording layer contains an ether compound expressed by formula I. It is recommended from a viewpoint of shelf life stability and sensitivity that the ether compound have a melting point of 40 deg.C to 150 deg.C, especially 60 deg.C to 120 deg.C. The typical examples are as shown in formulae II, III and IV. |
