PURPOSE:To obtain a thermally recording sheet with improved coloring sensitivity and heat resistance without fouling the texture after image preservability by adding a specific substitution benzene compound to a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermally recording sheet consists of a recording layer which has substantially a colorless or slightly pale electron-donative colorless dye, an acid substance which develops the color of the dye and a binder, provided on a support. The recording layer contains a substitution benzene compound expressed by formula I. The compound shown by the formula I makes a base for a thermally recording material having any degree of sensitivity with the adjustment of a melting point. The recommended compound has a melting point ranging from 40 deg.C to 150 deg.C, especially 60 deg.C to 120 deg.C from a viewpoint of storage stability and sensitivity. |
