PURPOSE:To enable a printing original plate to be attained under a direct exposure of a grid image to a plating photosensitive material by a method wherein an exposure mask is formed by a non-light emitted display device having several image pigments capable of forming a dark or a light tone on an image in response to a digital image information. CONSTITUTION:Liquid crystal 41 is placed between two glass base plates 42 and 43. Thin insulating spacers 44 and 46 having a proper thickness are held across the glass base plates 42 and 43 so as not to contact with each other and be enclosed therein. It includes a liquid crystal cell 52 provided with transparent electrodes 48, 50 composed of transparent conductive film at inside surfaces of the glass base plates 42 and 43, and further includes two deflection plates 54, 56 disposed across the liquid crystal cell 52. Some transparent electrodes 48 are disposed in a predetermined direction and the other some transparent electrodes 50 are disposed in a direction perpendicular to the former direction in several parallel belt-like manner to enable a matrix driving of the electrodes to be attained so as to constitute the liquid crystal cell 52 having a desired number of pigments. With such an arrangement, a printing original plate can be attained by performing a direct exposure of the grid image onto the plate forming photosensitive material. |
