<p>PURPOSE:To supply a voltage to photodetectors of all channels from one collector terminal and to delete the number of terminals at a photodetector side by commonly using the collector terminal of the photodetector side of each channel of a multichannel photocoupler. CONSTITUTION:All photodetectors 2 made of phototransistors are placed on one collector terminal 3 as pairs with light emitting elements 1 placed on cathode terminals 5 independent at respective channels. Each channel is so shielded with each light shielding outer resin 9 as not to be affected by the influence of the light emitted from other channel. Thus, power is supplied to the terminal 3 thereby to supply the same voltage to all the emitting elements. Since the terminal 3 heretofore necessary to each channel may be one in one package, the collector terminals can be deleted. Further, the profile of the package can be reduced by about 2/3 per one channel.</p> |
