The pouring spout (15) forms a sharp blade-like pouring edge (16) towards the front. The distance between the front end of the pouring opening (8) and the radially outermost end of the pouring edge is the length of the pouring surface and pref. about 4.5 mm. The lower distance between the radially outermost end of the pouring edge and the outermost bead edge of the outside edge of the lid underneath the pouring spout should be smaller than or equal to the length of the pouring face. The pouring edge (16) where it is attached to the outside edge of the lid, seen in plan view of the lid, should have inclined side areas each connected to the other by a straight front area (21). USE/ADVANTAGE - Flow pack with plastics lid gives improved pouring action, esp. of small amts. after the initial opening.
