PURPOSE:To enhance power generation output, and avoid an accident due to overheat damage to a stacked cell, or the temperature rise failure thereof by burying a convection type heat exchanger tube and a heat transport tube in the stacked cell for keeping the temperature thereof uniform. CONSTITUTION:A heat transport tube 13 made of a tube material bent to diamond shape, fitted with electrical insulators 14 at intermediate sections, and containing sealed working medium liquid, is buried between a lower dummy plate 2a and a center dummy plate 2b. Also, a convection type heat exchanger tube 20 inclined in a direction opposite to the tube 13 is buried between an upper dummy plate 2c and the center dummy plate 2b. During heat retaining operation, the vapors of the medium liquid generated due to heating with upper and lower heaters 3 and 4, are transported to heat the center dummy plate 2b. During power generating operation, heat at a center is transported to heat the upper and lower dummy plates 2a and 2c. Temperature distribution over a stacked cell 1 in a stacking direction is kept uniform in that way. |
