PURPOSE:To provide a method for driving ultrasonic motors capable of driving ultrasonic motors stably and efficiently without generating strange sounds or vibration, at the time of intermittent drive of the ultrasonic motors. CONSTITUTION:The title drive method for ultrasonic motor concerns a drive circuit for ultrasonic motors for rotating movable bodies each having a piezoelectric body 15, a speed set value 5, a pulse width modulator 6 for adjusting the duty ratio of an output pulse by the speed set value, and a multiplexer 4 for adjusting the phase difference of a drive signal by the output pulse of the pulse width modulator, and an elastic progressive wave is excited at the time of the rotation operation of movable bodies, and an elastic standing wave is excited at the time of rotation stop. |
