PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the operability of a computer by the use of a sight line input by detecting the sight line of an operator who gazes a means displaying the edition contents of information such as a document, etc., and executes a prescribed editing processing based on the movement of a sight line. CONSTITUTION:A display tube 302 and a sight line detecting system 303 are combinated in a, CRT display device 301 and the operator gazes at the display screen of the display tube 302 along the sight line. In the meantime, the operator is irradiated (305) with an infrared ray by the sight line detecting system 303 so as to the reflected light image is received (306). A character is key-inputted from a keyboard 304, the sight line input means 303 detects the sight line of the operator when he re-reads a sentence after that and conversion into the proper character is executed by the movement of the sight line. Even the character part of a document where a pattern and the character are mixed is automatically discriminated by the movement of the sight line, an OCR processing is smoothly executed, document conversion is executed by the position detection of the sight line and the document can be smoothly prepared without interrupting consideration. |
