DEVICE INTERLOCKING WITH EXISTING NETWORK IN ACCESS NETWORK ON ATM BASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device interlocking with an existing network in an ATM base access network. SOLUTION: In the device interlocking with an existing channel network in an ATM base access network interconnecting a subscriber and a trunk network, an ATM network connection section 300 conducts signal processing to send/receive a signal via a broad band ATM network 340 and controls the signal processing. An existing channel network connection section 310 conducts signal processing to send/receive a signal via an existing channel network 350, converts the signal through the existing channel network 350 and controls the signal processing and the conversion. A plurality of subscriber terminals 320, 322 connect with users at a remote distance to send/receive the signal, converts the signal sent from the users, controls the transmission/reception and the conversion. A system bus 330 conducts the signal transmission among the plurality of the subscriber terminals, the ATM network connection section and the existing channel network connection section.
