<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a smoothing processing to each kind of picture-processed picture image in the final stage by a relatively simple software processing, and to execute a high speed smoothing processing even by a relatively slow CPU by a simple software processing. SOLUTION: This dot pattern smoothing device is provided with a first storage means 6 for storing an original font, enlarging means 32 for enlarging the dot pattern of the original font stored in the first storage means 6, second storage means 30 for storing the enlarged dot pattern enlarged by the enlarging means 32, judging means 33 for judging which of plural preliminarily decided reference patterns is applied to each 3×3-dot with a dot under consideration as a center in the enlarged dot pattern stored in the second storage means 30, and interpolating means 34 for interpolating the dot judged to be made coincident by the judging means 33 into a black dot. Thus, interpolation can be executed to the enlarged dot pattern.</p> |
