<p>A vehicle door latch device comprises a connecting member (16) for connecting a lock pin (13) with a lock lever (18). The connecting member (16) has a lever side member (16A) connected to a lock lever (18), a pin side member (16B) connected to a lock pin (13), and a connecting spring (23) for elastically connecting the lever side member (16A) with the pin side member (16B). The connecting member (16) changes its length against the elasticity of the spring (23) to allow the lock lever (18) to be displaced to an unlocked position (X) from a locked position (Y), when the lock pin (13) cannot be displaced from a disengagement position to an engagement position by a displacement of the lock lever (18) from a locked position (Y) toward an unlocked position (X) while an opening lever (11) is in a door-opening position.</p> |
