PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar lighting system having high luminance, little luminance dispersion and a simple structure by using a straight tube type fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: A reflector 30 which diffusively reflects light is provided on the bottom section of a shallow housing 11, and a light diffusing sheet (opaque plate) 40 is formed on the opening face of the housing 11. Peak sections 31 and trough sections 32 are formed in parallel on the reflector 30, small peak sections 33 are provided on the trough sections 32, thereby the light of a light source lamp 20 is distributed effectively and uniformly on the whole opening face of the housing 11. |
