PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce total noises of an indoor unit and prevent a person from feeling cold air from the indoor unit. SOLUTION: A refrigerant heating type air conditioner comprises a combustion type refrigerant heater 11 in a refrigerant circuit which comprises a compressor 3, an outdoor heat exchanger 7 and an indoor heat exchanger 17. The air conditioner further comprises a temperature sensor 41 for detecting temperature of the indoor heat exchanger 17 and comprises a control means 43 for controlling combustion rate of the refrigerant heater 11 so that the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger 17 detected by the temperature sensor 41 is maintained at a given temperature.
