PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to completely remove an end-sealing material in an end-sealing stage during the production process of a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The end-sealing stage of the process for producing the liquid crystal cell produced by applying alignment layers on a pair of substrates formed with transparent electrodes on the surfaces, installing spacers between the substrates, enclosing the circumference exclusive of an injection port 6 with a sealing material 2, injecting liquid crystals from the injection port 6, end-sealing the injection port 6 and bonding polarizing plates includes a stage (B) for applying the end-sealing material 5 to the injection port 6 and penetrating the end-sealing material 5, a stage (C) for removing the end-sealing material adhered to the liquid crystal cell surface by suction, a stage (D) for removing the end-sealing material adhered to the liquid crystal cell surface by scraping with a brush, a stage (F) for curing the penetrated end-sealing material and a stage (E) for removing the end-sealing material scraped by the brush again by suction.
