PURPOSE: An organic waste fermenting agent and a method of fermenting the organic waste using the same are provided, thereby the generation of odor is drastically reduced and the amount of subsidiary materials added during fermenting waste is reduced. CONSTITUTION: The organic waste fermenting agent contains a mixed strain(KCCM-10167) consisting of Gloephylluon sp., Candida sp., Bacillus sp., and Leuconostoc mesentroides subp. cremoris. The method of fermenting the organic waste comprises the steps of: cooking rice, inserting the cooked rice into an air-permeable vessel, and storing it in bamboo forests for 5 to 10 days; transferring the rice into ceramic vessel, adding sugar and incubating it with supplying air for 7 to 15 days; mixing the fermented rice with rice bran to prepare the organic waste fermenting agent; adding the agent into waste and fermenting them at 45 to 50deg.C.
