PROCESS FOR TRANSMITTING DATA IN PACKETS IN A MOBILE RADIO SYSTEM

In a process for transmitting data in packets in a mobile radio system with mobile and base stations, in which there is a plurality of time slots available on a frequency forming control and traffic channels, in the establishment of a radio link for the transmission of data in packets a code number valid for the data packet transmission concerned is allocated to the mobile station concerned. The individual data packets are transmitted in traffic channels characterised in the allocated control channels as those containing the data packets by means of the code number. Processes without the allocation of a code number are also described.
