PURPOSE:To keep an oil temperature above the predetermined value in a switch from a rest condition such as parking operation to an ordinary operation. CONSTITUTION:A controller for a hydraulic elevator consists of a cage position detecting means 15 detecting a cage position of a hydraulic elevator operated by supplying/discharging an oil pressure to/from a hydraulic jack, a cage sinking quantity determining means 16 detecting the cage sinking quantity on the basis of the cage position and determining whether the cage sinking quantity exceeds the predetermined value or not, and a low speed operation controlling means 17 operating the cage to the lowermost floor at a low speed when the cage sinking quantity in a rest condition of the hydraulic elevator exceeds the predetermined value. |
