PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve manufacturing of a reliable high quality optical recording medium and steadily provide it by improving the circularity of the inner edge and positioning of the inner coating when manufacturing the recording medium by forming a predetermined film on a base by spin coating. SOLUTION: The base 10 has guide grooves or information pits made in advance. On this base 10, a recording layer 11 is provided together with a reflection layer 12 formed on it, and a protection layer 13 formed further on it by spin coating. A projection 25 is provided in concentric and perfect circularity at the position inner than the beginning of the guide grooves 24. This projection 25 is preferably 0.5-1.0 mm high and made in the area outer than the clamp area 21 of the base 10. |
