PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device that can generate a bit map in number of bits not restricted by number of bits used in an engine. SOLUTION: The color image forming device that expands color image data generated in a 1st number of bits in matching with a 2nd number of bits that is greater than the 1st number of bits and provides an output to a printer, is provided with a CMY expansion table 401 and a K expansion table 402 that are reference tables denoting a relation between the density of image data before expansion and the density of image data after expansion in each color. The color image forming device converts the density of image data by referencing the CMY expansion table 401 and the K expansion table 402. |
