PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain increase in a depth dimension of a washer. SOLUTION: This directly driving drum type washer directly connects a rotary shaft (a main shaft) 7 to a motor shaft installed on a back face side end surface of a front opening drum 6, and is characterized in that a motor is installed in a recessed part by forming the recessed part in the back face center of a front-opened outer tub 2 for internally installing the front opening drum 6, and the motor is installed in the recessed part of a bearing 8 by fixing the bearing 8 with a recessed part formed on a back face side end surface of the front-opened outer tub 2 for internally installing the front opening drum 6.
