<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a latent image carrier and each processing means are integrated, nonetheless a process cartridge itself can be replaced, the latent image carrier and each processing means can independently be replaced by a user or a service person with ease and the setting of the cartridge is facilitated. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 3 which is one of rotary bodies in the process cartridge, includes an antenna 501 for communicating with a communicating part 503 disposed in the prescribed part of the main body of the image forming apparatus, and an IC chip 502.
