PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing type pipe joint of simple attachment and detachment work, capable of lightening and compacting. SOLUTION: This joint includes a housing 21 having a C-shape ring shape whole body shape and a reverse U shape section shape formed out of a metal plate, an elastic ring 22 installed in the housing to surround end parts of a pair of pipes 5, 6, a fastening band 23 attached to surround an outer surface of the housing 21 and a fastening means 24 fastening the fastening band 23 to form the housing 21 in an annular shape.
