PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the liquid-tightness of a fitting part between the fuel inlet part and the cap part of a fuel injection valve by preventing the thermal shrinkage of a mounting boss part from affecting the inner peripheral surface of the cap part in forming a retaining member for the fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: This retaining member retains, on a throttle body 1, the fuel injection valve 10 into which a fuel injection part 11 at one end part is inserted into a mounting hole 4 formed in the throttle body 1. The retaining member is formed by integrally forming a fuel joint part 27 and a mounting boss part 26 by using a synthetic resin so that the fuel joint part 27 formed by connecting a fuel feed pipe 33 to the cap part 21 fitted, liquid-tight, to the outer periphery of a fuel inlet part 12 at the other end part of the fuel injection valve 10 can be integrally connected to the mounting boss part 26 integrally connected to the throttle body 1. The mounting boss part 26 is connected to the cap part 21 at the portion thereof axially apart from a fitting surface 22 of the inner periphery of the cap part 21 to the fuel inlet part 12.
