PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and a treatment apparatus for pollutant-containing waste water using no chemicals nor a catalyst, which are inexpensive and having no adverse affect on environment. SOLUTION: The treatment apparatus is used, which is provided with a treatment tank 2 storing pollutant-containing waste water, an ultrasonic irradiation device 3 irradiating pollutant-containing waste water A in the treatment tank 2 with ultrasonic wave, and a porous particle powder supply device 4 adding porous particle powder to the treatment tank 2, and porous particle powder with an average inner diameter of fine pores of 0.5-10μm is added to pollutant-containing waste water, which is irradiated with ultrasonic wave.
