PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for multifunctional aftertreatment of a hermetically sealed container package applicable to every aftertreatment of a hermetically sealed container package in a line for hermetically sealing packaging except for an aseptic packaging with a single aftertreatment device. SOLUTION: The method for multifunctional aftertreatment of a hermetically sealed container package comprises the following process: partitioning a treatment tank 2 whose inlet part and outlet part are openable, into a plurality pieces of unit tanks having at least liquid retaining parts 13-1, 13-2 and 13-3 and a showering device 16; controlling the treatment media each having an individual temperature for each unit tank so as to be jetted out to a subject material and enable pressure regulation; and selectively performing change-over operation so that the single device shows a retort function, a pasteurizing function, a warming function and a cooling function.
