PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of stopping a digital audio signal from a coaxial terminal when no external audio processing apparatus is connected to the coaxial terminal. SOLUTION: A DTV demodulation circuit 15 outputs a digital audio signal on the basis of a digital broadcast radio wave to the coaxial terminal CNT via a first emitter follower circuit, and a DVD demodulation circuit 35 outputs a digital audio signal on the basis of digital data read from a DVD to the coaxial terminal CNT via a second emitter follower circuit. Further, a DTV microcomputer 25 or a DVD microcomputer 60 acquires information denoting an amplitude of a voltage signal appearing between the coaxial terminal CNT and a matching resistor R9 and discriminates whether or not the signal processing apparatus (audio processing apparatus) 70 is connected to the coaxial terminal CNT on the basis of the information.
