摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent short life of a fuel cell caused by the exhaustion of an electrolyte by arranging an inlet side part where the temperature of a heat exchanger tube is lowest in the central part of a cooling plate and recovering phosphoric acid in the central part of a unit cell. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger tube 3b gets the supply of cooling water by a cooling water supply manifold 9, and extends to almost the central position of a cooling plate 4 and proceeds to a fuel exhaust manifold 6 side so as to cross the cooling plate 4 and makes a U-turn. After that, heat exchanger tube 3b extends toward an air supply manifold 7 side, meanders almost uniformly on the whole surface of the cooling plate 4, and proceeds to a cooling water exhaust manifold 10. Since the inlet side part where the temperature of the heat exchanger side is lowest is arranged in the central part of the cooling plate, phosphoric acid is recovered in the central part of a unit cell. The shortest returning path is formed in any part of the unit cell, and the most effective phosphoric acid recovery is conducted over the whole surface of the unit cell. Short life of a fuel cell caused by local exhaustion of an electrolyte is prevented.
