<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device which can cool a heat generator such as a CPU or a chipset by efficiently emitting heat therefrom while avoiding complexity of arrangement of the device, and which also can generate an electricity by utilizing heat emitted from the heat generator. <P>SOLUTION: A motor/generator for switching between motor and generator functions and a fan type heatsink (cylinder-shaped rotor) are provided to the cooling device. When the generator function of the motor/generator is valid, the fan type heatsink generates electricity with use of a rotational power generated when the heatsink receives an air flow (up air flow) caused by heat from s heat generator and is rotated as a power source. When the motor function is valid, heat from the heat generator is forcibly dissipated by rotating the fan type heatsink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
