PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a vacant capacity without completely deleting a music piece etc. of a record data, when a remaining amount of a recording medium becomes small. SOLUTION: An encoder 102 creates a stream data made by combining an irreversible coded data in which an input signal from an input terminal 101 is irreversibly coded, and a reversible coded data in which a signal made by subtracting the irreversible coded data from the input signal is irreversibly coded, and it is recorded in a recording medium 104 by a recording section 103. The control section 109 controls the recording section 103 so that only reversible coded data in the data which is recorded in the recording medium 104 may be deleted, when it is detected that the vacant capacity of the recording medium 104 becomes small by management information from a management information processing section 108.
