PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a surface to an inner layer of a selvage of a multilayer fabric from fraying without heating.SOLUTION: Selvedge yarns Y1 to Y4 forming a selvage of a three-layer fabric 1 have an adhesive part with both sides on which an adhesive mass is applied. The selvedge yarn Y1 is adhered to an end part C1 of weft W1 in an upper side opening and adhered to an end part C3 of weft W3 in a lower side opening. The selvedge yarn Y4 is adhered to the end part C3 of the weft W3 in the lower side opening and adhered to an end part C1 of the weft W1 in the upper side opening. The selvedge yarn Y2 is adhered to the end part C1 of the weft W1 and an end part C2 of weft W2 in the upper side opening and adhered to the end part C2 of the weft W2 and the end part C3 of the weft W3 in the lower side opening. The selvedge yarn Y3 is adhered to the end part C2 of the weft W2 and the end part C3 of the weft W3 in the lower side opening and adhered to the end part C1 of the weft W1 and the end part C2 of the weft W2 in the upper side opening. Thus the selvedge yarns Y1 to Y4 of the selvage 5 and the weft W1 to W3 are rigidly fixed and fraying of a surface to an inner layer of a selvage 5 is definitely prevented without heating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
