PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint which can decrease the number of components and is easy to assemble, and a method of manufacturing the pipe joint.SOLUTION: A pipe joint 10 comprises: a male joint 12 which has a moving valve 14, opening and closing a flow passage 26 in a cylinder, arranged movably; a female joint 32 which has a recessed insertion part 50 into which the male joint 12 is inserted, and has a moving valve 34, abutting on the moving valve 14 when the male joint 12 is inserted into the recessed insertion part 50 to open and close a flow passage 76 in the cylinder, arranged movably; a recessed part 80 which is formed on at least one of mutually abutting surfaces 15A, 35A of the moving valve 14 and moving valve 34; a communication hole 90 which is formed along an axis of the moving valves 14, 34, and communicates with a bottom part of the recessed part 80 and has an inner diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the recessed part 80; a sub valve 82 which is accommodated in the recessed part 80, and comprises a spherical valve body and a spring energizing the valve body; and a retention part 88 which is molded integrally with a peripheral edge of the recessed part 80, and abuts on the valve body to hold the valve body with a tip of the valve body projected from the abutting surfaces 15A, 35A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
