PURPOSE:To report error contents or printers and positions or printers by providing a terminal equipment with a print job detailed state inquiry part and a print control part and providing a printer constitution management table which manages specifications and states of a distributed print management server and a printer/spooler control server. CONSTITUTION:A client 11 newly supports the control of print indication based on logic specifications, inquiry about job detailed states including a print error, error recovery indication, etc. A print server 300 consists of a distributed print management server function 14 and a printer/spooler control server function 15. The distributed print management server 14 manages all printers on the network, and the printer/spooler control server 15 is provided with a print service accepting part 7300 to accept various print service requests of print indication, inquiry, control, etc., from the client 11. Thus, error contents of printers and positions of printers are reported. |
