PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a laundry pole fixed and hardly affected by external force such as wind while the laundry pole is lifted to a high position.SOLUTION: A laundry drying device includes: a laundry pole 1; string-like members 2 (2a, 2b and 2c) for supporting and suspending the left and right ends of the laundry pole 1; a lifting device 3 for simultaneously lifting or lowering the string-like members 2a and 2b at both ends of the laundry pole 1 by the same extent; and at least one set of guide members 4 which are arranged at positions for lifting the laundry pole 1 for drying laundry or the like or storing the laundry pole so as to hold the laundry pole from the front and the rear. When the laundry or the like is hung, or when the laundry is taken in, the laundry pole 1 is lowered to a desired height. When the laundry or the like is dried, or when the laundry pole is stored, the laundry pole 1 is lifted and brought into a space between the guide members 4, so that the laundry pole 1 is restricted by the guide members 4 in the movement in the front-and-rear direction to be prevented from swinging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
