PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of easily specifying an air vent of defective ventilation and capable of recording an image, and an image reading method capable of specifying the air vent of defective ventilation by using the image.SOLUTION: An inkjet recorder comprises carrying means provided with a plurality of air vents for penetrating through a carrying member from a carrying surface and carrying a recording medium, suction means for adsorbing the recording medium to the carrying surface by sucking air from the opposite side of the carrying surface of the plurality of air vents, recording means for recording an image on the recording medium by discharging ink and recording control means for recording a test pattern on the recording medium in a different mode of a soaking-in state of the ink to the recording medium between a first part of overlapping with the air vent adsorbing the recording medium and a second part except for the first part, by discharging the ink to a range including at least a part of an overlapping part with the plurality of air vents among the recording medium in a state of adsorbing the recording medium to the carrying surface by sucking the air by the suction means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
