Disclosed are a wheel cover automatic assembly system and an assembly method therefor. The wheel cover automatic assembly system comprises a machine stand (100) and a material delivering device, a material feeding device and a material clamping device which are provided on the machine stand (100), wherein the material delivering device has a rotary material delivering disc (200) and a martial delivery driving device which drives the rotary material delivering disc (200) to rotate, and a plurality of workstation holes (201) matching workpieces are provided on the rotary material delivering disc (200); the material feeding device has a material feeding arm (301) and a material-feeding driving device for driving the material feeding arm (301) to move; and the material clamping device has a material clamping part and a material-clamping driving device for driving the material clamping part to move. The wheel cover automatic assembly system simplifies the operation, has short procedure time, significantly saves labour force and improves working efficiency.
