PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus which reads an image with reduced harmful light effect by eliminating the light amount loss of light irradiated on an object.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus 1 comprises: an irradiation part 30 which comprises a light guide for deflecting light from an LED element toward a document D and irradiating same; and a receiver 50 which receives light reflected by the document D. The light guide comprises: a light guide part comprising an incidence plane on which light is incident, an emission plane from which light is emitted toward the document D, and a main deflection plane which deflects the light incident through the incident plane toward the emission plane; and a sub deflection part which deflects light having been leaked without being deflected by the main deflection plane toward the document D.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
