PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent positional detection of an optical device and power saving, simultaneously.SOLUTION: A control method includes a light-emitting device 131, and controls power at imaging using a position sensor 130 for detecting a position of a focus lens 110. In the control method, when moving the focus lens to a prescribed position, the light-emitting device is lighted at a first quantity of light (S103). When the focus lens is in a prescribed position and a long-time exposure or a bulb exposure operation is set, a quantity of light of the light-emitting device is set to be small (S114) before the exposure.
