According to various embodiments of the present invention, a content providing method of a content providing system comprises: an operation where a first electronic device transmits identification information by a broadcasting method; an operation where a second electronic device generates user history information based on a reception record of the identification information when the identification information is received; an operation where the second electronic device transmits the user history information to a database server; an operation where the database server transmits the user history information to the first electronic device; an operation where the first electronic device transmits the user history information to a content server; an operation where the content server transmits content related to the user history information to the first electronic device; and an operation where the first electronic device provides the content.
